How the scheme worked

1

Holder seeks outlet for redundant or unwanted golf clubs.

Click on the Directory page and search for a Receiving club. If your local club isn't registered ask them to get in touch; we'll look to add them to our expansion plans.

During the initial Scottish pilot we worked with courses in and around Glasgow and Inverness.

2

Holder deposits clubs at registered receiver, e.g. local participating golf club or course.

Look up contact details for your nearest Receiver on the Directory page, then just drop off your unwanted clubs during opening hours. You won't be charged to use the service or be required to purchase anything.

3

Receiver stores clubs and calls for a collection when designated container is full.

For the Scottish pilot we worked with Blythswood Care, a respected charity which operates a range of reuse facilities and shops across Scotland.

4

Clubs are sorted at a Central hub for reuse (first and foremost), remanufacturing or recycling.

Redistribution channels for collected clubs are being developed. These are expected to include Blythswood Care's charity shops, golf academies (encouraging new players to try out the game) and online marketplaces.

Where remanufacturing or repurposing of clubs represents the best option, we are looking at various product development options.  Please visit our sister website (www.ecowow.co.uk) for details of emerging products.
